Christian counselors constantly need new information, an awareness of emerging issues, an evaluation of techniques and procedures, not to mention all the practical and organizational help that can make the task of counseling more effeciant and more effective.

and says, “Look what you did [to me].” Throughout this section, love will be shown to be a giving of one’s self (time, interests, etc.) to another while giving up one’s own rights, privileges, concerns, etc. Love, in none of the statements that follow, is set forth as something that one possesses in the abstract (in and of itself, for himself). Rather, it is always seen as an attitude of self-giving for the sake of another. Love is always related to God or neighbor; it never stands alone.
